Lighting Design is the main passion at Luxart. I have been designing, programing and operating light shows for concerts and events for over 25 years. I apply this experience to our clients events to ensure them of a smooth and pleasant experience with what can be a taxing time at most events.
For us a standard event includes designing, programming and operating lighting and effects for audiences large and small. We operate all of the lighting and visual effects on the one console and it is controlled by one person. This ensures smooth transitions and incorporation of all the relevant effects.
The special events industry requires the ability to program on the fly and achieve results quickly. Many factors can mean that programming time is short and a lot of moments in the show need programming. We have a reputation for always achieving our desired results within the designated time.
As most special events are recorded via camera, we always strive to achieve broadcast quality lighting and work closely with the camera and vision crew to ensure quality results.
This is how we do it
- Knowledge
We gather all of the information regarding the venue, audience, entertainment, technical requirements and of course budget. - Design Stage
We use Vectorworks for all of our designs. This allows us to deliver accurate plans as well as layered pdf's for all departments involved to follow. - Sign Off Stage
Once the client and venue etc. have signed off on the budgets and plans the suppliers are sent the working plans so they can add their relevant information. - Installation Stage
We oversee the Installation process to ensure that all design requirements are met. This also allows for easy adjustments to the design if necessary for technical requirements. - Programming Stage
On most events we will have already pre programmed certain elements of the show to save time on site. However many elements need to be done in the venue and we program our shows with a priority list in mind to ensure all production targets are met during the show. - Operation Stage
We have learned many lessons over the years from some of the most successful and artistically talented people in the entertainment industry. We apply all of these lessons into the operation of our shows. - Show Report
After the show we like to have a debrief with our clients to discuss the show and how things can be improved upon or changed for their next event if necessary to ensure that we are always giving the audience new and exciting experiences.
